We're looking for a Junior Developer to join one of our product tribes in our Lisbon office and work on user-facing products, which are at the core of Pipedrive and used by our customers to improve their business results. You'll work on Deals, our best-known product, the LeadBooster lead generation tools and brand new initiatives such as Campaigns, Projects, Account Management, Payments and Support products. Our teams span four of our engineering offices in Europe, and your work will directly impact our more than 100,000 customers.

This is a technical role and involves work with microservices and APIs, primarily built in Node.js and TypeScript. Our frontend services follow a micro-frontend architecture using React.js. Our backend services often utilize event-driven architecture and have data exposed through REST or GraphQL APIs.

As a Junior Developer, you’ll choose a narrow area of focus and technologies to work with. A big part of your job will be learning. You’ll receive plenty of support from your colleagues to accelerate your growth.

Our tech stack:
Frontend: React.js, TypeScript and GraphQL with Relay.
Backend: Node.js, TypeScript and Fastify. Some PHP and Golang.
Storage and messaging: MySQL, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis and CouchDB.
Infrastructure: AWS, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes and Jenkins.


Your new adventure:

  • Work with a range of ever-evolving customer-facing features
  • Build and deploy microservices to production and build the necessary service monitoring and alerting system
  • Write automated tests
  • Learn new technologies and ways of working alongside your peers and grow into an independent developer
  • Collaborate closely with your peers and solve problems by writing maintainable code, designing new features and improving existing ones, building prototypes and conducting quick experiments
  • Perform code reviews and provide quality feedback to peers
  • Help improve the tribe’s services and pay off technical debt over time

Does this sound like you?

  • Passion for software development, software architecture and collaborative work
  • Can write and maintain quality code
  • Able to conduct technical research and create quick proof of concepts for validation if needed
  • Keen to learn new technologies and ways of working in agile software development teams
  • Knowledge of some of the following technologies: JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, any SQL database, Docker and PHP
  • Can work in a highly collaborative environment with a team distributed across multiple engineering offices
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Evidence of personal projects showing aptitude for engineering work and product sense is a plus
